The number of sessions required varies from patient to patient and from condition to condition. Whilst some patients respond relatively quickly, say in the first or second treatment, others can take substantially longer to respond. Ultimately there is no guarantee that some chronic conditions can be ameliorated.

In most cases an acupuncturist will offer around 6 to 10 sessions after which the situation is reviewed and you the patient decide whether you wish to continue. Revival Acupuncture tries to monitor the progress of the treatments from week to week with the use of a MYMOP form,  (measure yourself medical outcome profile). This form is a subjective questionnaire that is filled at each session and is based on a patient's perception as to how they are feeling from week to week. A score between 0-6 is given for each condition being treated, where  0 is "as good as it can be" and 6 is "as bad as it can be". At each session a score is entered into the form to create a pattern over the set sessions. The MYMOP is not used in the Facial Rejuvenation and Weight Loss Programme.

This  method of monitoring progress is used extensively in the medical environment both in  Western and Alternative Medicine.

The first session is 90 minutes, this allows the practitioner to take a complete medical history and perform a full examination, after which the practitioner will  decide a treatment plan. Subsequent sessions are 1 hour and the frequency depends on the condition presented.

LATE ARRIVAL
All appointments have an allocated time slot. Late arrivals will therefore have a reduced treatment time & sometimes no treatment, both charged at full cost.

Cancelled bookings  require a 24 hour cancellation notice, otherwise full fees will be chargeable.

ON DAY OF TREATMENT

1. Eat at least 1 to 2 hours before treatment.

2. Do not drink alcohol before and for 6 hours after treatment

 3. Do not wear makeup or foundation.

4. Do not brush your tongue

5. Wear loose clothing
